SERVICES
Developmental Editing: Developmental critiques help writers hone their craft, excel as storytellers, and reach their writing goals. As a Developmental Editor, I look at the big picture: does the plot work, are the characters interesting and believable, is the pacing strong, is the language vivid and enjoyable? Get feedback on your manuscript, synopsis, outline, or query letter.
Contact me for an example of editorial feedback and references from clients.
Book Coaching: If you have an idea or rough draft but aren’t sure of the next steps, I can coach you through the creation of a project from concept to finished manuscript.
Ghostwriting/Writer for Hire: Are you an expert with a book idea but not enough time or writing experience to make it a reality? I will turn your thoughts into a manuscript. I’ve ghostwritten books on management and volunteering, picture books, biographies, and six Boxcar Children mysteries for young readers, plus nonfiction and informational fiction for young people on science and history topics. (A ghostwriter remains anonymous, so the name on the project is yours!)
Contact me to learn how I can help with your fiction, nonfiction, blogs, newsletters, and more.
Rewriting: If you already have a manuscript but feel it needs help to be the best it can be, I will revise your work for clarity, impact, and audience appropriateness. I’ll work to your specifications, with my years of experience.
Project Management: Ready to publish? I’ll guide you through the process from manuscript to querying publishers (including feedback on your query letter) or independently publishing a book. This can include direction in hiring a cover artist, book designer, etc., and help with the keywords and categories that will help readers find your work.
Ask yourself: How do I want to be remembered? Together, we will develop projects that share your mind and heart, make you proud, and create positive change in the world.
